What are the physiological benefits of practicing yoga?

The changes are varied and depend on many factors. The benefits depend on things such as the physical and mental state of the person. Its success also relies on what type of illness, if any, the subject has. The diet and how serious the practice of yoga is taken are among the determining factors.

It is not known exactly how it works; but we can infer that through the energy there is a change that modifies the entire functioning of the body, achieving proper balance. Yoga works on the Chakras, which are energy centers that are located in parts of the body. Working on these centers, what we do is to bring attention to the area and allow energy to flow, flow.

Is there a medical specialty that uses yoga as a complementary technique for treatment?
